The 520-30 was a military gun. It's was a different animal. This one is a straight 520, and predates WWI. The J. Stevens Arms and Tool Co. changed names in 1920. This one appears to be an early 520. The slide release is on the side of the receiver, instead of behind the trigger guard.

Found another 335 today. It's a 16 GA, serial # 533XX, marked "J. Stevens Arms & Tool" with 26" barrels, "Pat'd Mar 19, 1907". On another site it's said to have been mfg between 1912 & 1915. Pretty decent survivor. Tight, no dents, no stock wobble, barrels 50% blue turning plum, 50% color case viewable.Serial number- D572.
