I have a glenfield 30A that was sold thru Otasco (Oklahoma Tire & Supply Stores) as a limited edition gun,marked Marlin 3080.I like the gun and besides the stock,appears the same as my sons 336.I contacted Marlin and this gun was made in 1980 (no cross bolt safety). I know they marked the barrels “AS”starting in 1988 when the safety was added but I am not sure exactly when the roll mark on the barrel went back to “A”.
