It's happened to me a few times where the game audio stops completely, but I've been able to restore it by alt-tabbing out and going into windows sound settings while the game is running, changing the output device to something else (like headphones), then setting it back. When playing a Youtube video, occasionally the audio will cut out for 3-5 seconds, but the video will keep playing.
