Chapie, I am the one that told you originally to swap frames and slides. This works on the 45 ACP because the frames are the exact same for the service and tactical. The only difference with the compact frame is the grip is chopped. You will also be able to do this with the XD 9 service and tactical, and the XD 40 service and tactical.Has SA put out any news that they will offer OSP slides for XDM's? The slides interchange and shoot on all of them. I have a springer precision trigger in the 4.5 frame and since it was fitted to my 4.5 slide, it is not as good of a trigger with a different slide. That would be my only caution. I haven't seen any reliable company marketing slides for the XD/m series. if your looking to get an optic for it, just send it to Powder River Precision (PRP) to mill it.
