Blast radius makes the impact of the grenade do less damage the higher it is, and makes the actual explosion do more from what I understand. Spike grenades kinda do the same thing, they increase the impact damage, in exchange for less explosion damage.

I agree the spike nerf was unnecessary, but no way is it weaker than or equal to lightning grenades.
