I'd say strength if you want to use big damage chonky weapons like the jaw in addition to the Greatsword, and dex if you use mainly spells. The difference is minimum damage wise. Its sweeping attacking are good for crowd control, and as you upgrade it to +5 it will have a scaling of C and A. The parry weapon art is based off of a medium shield parry.
