Ecobee add a wire.
I currently have an ecobee4 thermostat installed but had to install the included pek kit since there was no c wire. This turned our 4 wires into 5 (r, y, w, c, and g). I would really like to add an additional conductor (w2) without running new wires. Venstar's product add-a-wire claims to do just that.

The humidistat is mounted to the furnace as well, and the wiring to it isn't exposed. Thanks in advance. You disconnect the humidstat and those two wires go to the ecobee instead. With only one wire, this won't work. You need two wires. EDIT: Apparently it can work with one wire for some humidifiers.

U wire is likely controlling a humidifier or fresh air ventilation. You should stick it in the * terminal on ecobee but you need to find out what it controls Edit, just seen your other pictures.
