Hi, I have a 2011 Odyssey with about 155k miles, we're the original owners and have followed regular maintenance schedules. The dealer is advising a valve adjustment and valve cover gasket replacement at a cost of ~$1,200. That seems excessive, and we're not hearing any tapping or the like. It is running without issue.

This requires, at a minimum, removal of coils and spark plugs and a gasket kit for anything removed. A lot of other engine brands don't live to the point they need their valves adjusted, or they self adjust. Hondas have complicated valve train and need to be manually adjusted every 100k or so.
