Posted April 12, 2013. Haven't tried the Boltor yet but the Gorgon is a very reliable weapon when tuned right. I built mine into the LMG it's suppose to be by maxing out clip size with another mod into total capacity. Gorgon is best used again mobs of enemies or bosses due to the sustained fire taking out their shields.

The Gorgon hasn't been good for 7~ years, and the Wraith for 5~ years. Prisma is still fine, but it has a lot of competition in the "large mag-many bullet-spray hose" category, and requires significant forma and rivens to get that online.
The gorgon on the other hand does 10-20 damage from what I've seen which isn't much better than the automatic rifles. Yeah it fires really fast and it fires a lot of rounds. That's what gives it its lethality, but you're going to be running through much more ammo shooting a Gorgon than you will a shotgun, a sniper rifle or a marksman rifle.
