After taking the clock spring out a few times and studying the issue, I noticed that the steering wheel/the alignment was off-center. If you read about the VDC, you will find that it is integral to the angle sensor. Once I got to work I turned the car off and turned it back on again and the lights were off. However, once I started driving again the lights would come back on 20 feet down the road.

Of course, it's due for the yearly inspection this month and I'm not sure it will pass in Texas with those four lights on.Ok soccerbrace, here goes straight from the 2006 Xterra Owners manual: Start the engine and set the steering wheel in the straight forward position. I've purchased a 2005 xterra, GREAT vehicle. Since I've had it [purchased 12/2005] the 'VDC oFF' & 'SLIP' indicator lights have came ON and stayed ON until Reset by procedure in manual. Took it to the dealer, they 'reset' the code/module. Not even a week later, the lights are back on. It's a bit annoying - not even 2000 miles on it yet.Most generally when all of these lights are on, it is an ABS sensor and 4-wheel will not engage. Even though you may look at it and it looks ok it's really not. To know for sure gently pull on the wires that come off the frame to the wheel up by the plug.
