JKs, especially later models, do run hot for better emissions. I know I've seen 230 just sitting in traffic with zero load. I normally turn the A/C on which forces the Fan to stay on and the temp drops. So I could see 250 with a load, and any liquid is a pretty good load.

Blend door actuator for sure for the no-heat-in-the-cabin deal, but the engine overheating seems far out for that. maybe a clogged heater core (might impede flow) Im dealing with no heat in cabin right now, except on the highest setting. It indicates the engine is not reaching operating temperature. From what I can find the 3.6L V-6 takes a 203 degree thermostat. If the air was lukewarm at all the vents, then it's entirely possible that the heater core away the problem. If, as you said, it was only the drivers side, then replacing the core didn't do a thing and the issue will likely return.
