My 2017 canyon v6 with the 8 speed has 15,000 miles on it. A previous dealer refused to work on my truck and said my transmission was normal. Well this past week, I took it to a different dealer and they replaced the fluid and torque converter.

Diesel is a 6L50 6 speed trans. Gas is an 8L45 8 speed trans. Totally different units. The 2.5L gas engine still uses the 6L50 though. You can still lock out gears in the 8 speed..
