I'll cover ...Define "best". My 1st objective of every new run is to get to Louisville so west point has been my go to. They are all good. Rosewood is a relatively small town with lots of amenities. The others are larger and therefore have more zombies but its fun to experiment with them all. I dunno why few like west point.
Half of those aren't starting locations. And Rosewood is missing. Best location for veteran players is Muldraugh because it's the easiest to get a vehicle working at. The whole south is full of parking lots, plus the crossroads towards Rosewood and the Warehouses out of town. With a working vehicle you're free to go anywhere you want in the map.
