Jul 17, 2015 · Other things you might do that are simpler is get members involved at shelters. Fundraising to buy supplies, volunteering time. Maybe even contact a ocal vet or two to come in and talk. A more recent graduated vet would have great advice on applying and what school is like.

Mar 18, 2008. #4. my friends that are in vet school have told me that none of the classes individually are harder or much harder than a hard undergrad course, but what makes it hard is the fact that there aren't easy classes (like easy gen eds in undergrad).I've got a couple suggestions. My mom gave me a book a couple years ago called The Horse Doctor Is In by Brent Kelley, DVM. He presents horse health care using stories from his time as an equine vet in Kentucky. Also, one of my all time favorite books is Most of My Patients Are Animals by Robert M.
