Kotor 2 didnt have a twist and its story was much better but as well kotor 2 was what made revan such a intriguing character. Also another thing that annoys me about the twist is the shadow it cast. Honestly, remaking KOTOR as action-rpg with combat somewhat like in Jedi Academy would be pretty cool actually. I don't really think people love KOTOR for dnd-like gameplay, so it would work.
