Following some guides, it seems the most basic starting point is Inferium Essence along with some regular seeds, but I've not seen any Inferium Essence in the 10 hours at least we have put in. I've read it comes from killing mobs, but we have a falling mob farmer with a item vacuum nearby that doesn't seem to have any essence in it at all.So for those seeds, you will need to craft extra ones.
