I would find a 06 tank and swap it in so that you have the stock pump, hook ups and correct fuel pressure.

As mentioned, if the lines are rusty, then so may be your wheel cylinders or blocks where they convert to rubber lines. 1) In order to prep the Jeep you're going to need to depressurize the fuel system. I pulled the Fuel Pump Relay out of the fuse box located in the engine bay on the passenger's side. After this was pulled I attempted to start the jeep a couple times to depressurize the system.After removing the air intake tube, start the engine and with it at idle rpms, spray a goodly amount of throttle body cleaner into the throttle body. The IAC will suck the cleaner in through itself and, likely, kill the engine due to it being flooded with cleaner.
