The 6500ex is not for this configuration. The 18kPV is paying for features you aren't going to use (ie DC coupled batteries) The Growatt is a good choice. Yeah, on mine the eg4 setting had 56v bulk and 56v float. The battery status on the display never read accurately even when the voltage reading was good. The "scale" was just off and using the inverter values to monitor on Solar Assistant battery values was no good. Ended up using user ant assigning 56v for bulk and 54.8 for float.

Yeah I bought a Pioneer 120v split unit one and it runs fine, but it only pulls 400w when it gets going. Than again the split unit is not a traditional heat pump as it is inverter based. My geo heatpump pulls 1800w and 240v, not inverter type. I'm thinking the wave form probably looks bad but I haven't bought a scope to check it.
