Franchi Affinity (original model) vs. newer Affinity 3. Is there anyone who owns, or owned, both the original Franchi Affinity model and the newer Affinity 3 model? I own the original Affinity (12 gauge, 28" barrel) and am wondering if the new Affinity 3 model with the oversized bolt handle, bolt release and magazine port is worth upgrading to.
One other difference is the forearm is slimmer on the m2, but I have zero issues with the forearm on the affinity. Both are high quality guns. On a side note I own a 870 compact as well and I consider it to be one of the best turkey guns made.I thonk the A300 is a better gun for the $. Adjustable LOP and comb. Well, the Affinity also has adjustable comb and length of pull. It's basically an M2 in Franchi skin at substantially the same price point as the Outlander. Without the extra weight I was quickly able to swing through the shot. Controls - The A300 seemingly has easier controls. Bigger bolt handle, oversized bolt release, safety in-front of the trigger, and bolt lock in the mag well.I am aware the Franchi and Benelli are cousins of sorts and was wondering if it was worth spending the little more on the Benelli. Right now I’m leaning towards the Franchi because of the cerakote and the fact that it can take 3 1/2 shells (I know they aren’t necessary but I like the option) but I’m still very torn.
