I played elden ring for like 300 hours the month it came out and then stopped. I wanna come back to the game, modded. Should I go with convergence or ascended? Convergence is generally a little easier, unless you’re used to cheesing everything. Ascended is supposed to be harder than vanilla, so that’s probably a good way to separate them. To put a practical face to it, I'm waiting for a mod like Convergence or Cinders. That's why I said it depends on the kind of mod, what it changes and the tools available, Acended mod is an overhaul mod, Reforged mod is also an overhaul mod, all the tools are available, there is nothing to be "overly cautious" about.

Convergence is pretty much a complete overhaul of the game, with many aspects of it being entirely different or tweaked, there’s many more spells and lots of variation. Playing it on coop with my gf and it’s awesome. Convergence is my favorite. I know its not really elden ring anymore but that's sort of the point.
