Duramax ticking noise.

2020 Duramax thumping sound. Thumping sound heard at idle and increases with RPM as you drive. Can hear it easily when standing outside front or when listening near front wheel wells and from inside the truck. That is the correct procedure. However, if the knocking noise stopped, whatever was causing the noise wasn't spinning. That's how you've eliminated the engine internals. If the noise continues when the torque converter is no longer attached and spinning, then the noise is coming from something that's moving/spinning. That's something in the engine.
