My A400 Xcel is quickly becoming my favorite auto and I like it for sporting clays better than my Beretta O/U I previously owned. I currently own an AL390 and AL391 as well and the A400 is a definate step up from both designs. Can't say enough good things about the Xcel. Beretta got this one right for sure. Like.

I have never had ported chokes, but I have had ported barrels on shotguns and my experience is that ported barrels make the gun much louder for me and those around me.
