There are several camp grounds and I am reading that some areas have no access, it is private property. As I said, the area has to be shallow enough to wade but still have room to cast, and an area with some trout. Nice reel overall, but not really confidence inspiring. I have been doing a lot of reading and think I have my choices narrowed down to the Orvis Mirage LT or the Nautilus Classic XL Max with a standard XL spool. Both of the reels seem identical in features. Also, I am not a fan of the standard X.
The sight fishing has been incredible and seeing 18 inch trout come up and slowly inspect flies has made me a paranoid fly tier. In rivers fish only have a few seconds to decide to hit something. In these mountain lakes with 4-6ft of visibility the fish sometimes slowly circle my fly for 30 seconds before they decide to take it.

Last years record snow and summer rains revitalized the habitat to a great extent although much of the CRP has gone back into production. Sep 18, 2018. #3. I just picked up a 'glass rod I intend to use in the salt: A Fenwick Feralite FF85 (8.5' 7-8-9wt). Compared to the other Fenwick Feralites I use (FF75 and FF806), there is no doubt in my mind it's up to the task. Its action and ability to throw tight loops into the wind are similar to what you'd expect from graphite rods.
