tl;dr: Camped upper snow lake two nights, day hike up to Inspiration Lake. Bad bugs, great weather, hard hike on a great trail. Our group of 6 started out at the Snow Lakes Trailhead just outside Leavenworth at 6:10am. We arrived to find the trailhead parking completely full, and parked on the road just northwest of the lot.
