At eBay they are offering me SE2 and at Amazon an SDE-1 position but the salary package at Amazon is so lucrative that I am not able to look after it.
They are not, but 90% of companies would like to hire seniors. When I got my current job 2 years ago, the company was looking for seniors, but later non of the three of us who accepted an offer weren't seniors. We were all around 2-3 years from becoming a senior. Also, every company has a different grading system for seniority levels.
