There has been a firmware issue that has caused an issue like this. Try downloading the most recent firmware from the ctl website and upload it to the router via the gui. If it works, the light should turn orange/amber then you go to connect.centurylink.com. if it doesn't, you could be on the wrong port and a tech will have to fix that.
